This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Have you ever been "Hangry"? "Hangry" is a term used to describe being irritable, frustrated, or annoyed as a result of hunger. It’s also a word that describes my students perfectly. My students try their best every day at school, but sometimes learning comes secondary to their immediate need of being and feeling hungry.
The snacks I’m requesting will ensure my students are not hungry or "Hangry" during the day.
In order to learn best, students need to be in "just the right" place to learn: they need to be actively engaged, participating, and ready to learn; and that is not something they can do when they are hungry. These snacks will help fuel my students to do their best work at school and focus on what they’re learning.
