Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
SIP students tend to have a difficult time accepting demands, utilizing new skills and becoming intrinsically reinforced. Immediate reinforcers such as snacks are a low-cost short-term reinforcer that can help students take risks and use new skills- often being reinforced by the interaction or the accomplishment. At this time, we are asking for these items because many of our snacks were stolen and we no longer have a variety to offer our students which is lowering their motivation to succeed. At times I wish my praise and that of my assistant were enough.
Thank you in advance for seeing our students as valuable.
