My Project
My students always remind me when they need a break for movement. They understand that being able to move around can help them retain what they're learning. We currently have only a few wobble exercise chairs in our classroom and my students have created a calendar to help fairly determine who gets to use the chairs each day. They often ask me if there's any way to get more of the exercise chairs to help them stay active while they learn.
This kid-inspired project will allow us to meet the kinesthetic needs of even more students by allowing the whole class to stay moving while they are hard at work.
These moving wiggle exercise chair attachments have been proven to help students strengthen their core strength and increase their focus by transforming stationary sitting into a physical activity! They may also support students with learning differences to stay focused on their assignments.
This project will help students to move actively throughout the day and contribute to their daily goal of one hour of physical activity.
These exercise wiggle chair attachments will release students from a passive learning posture, glued to their seats, dissociated, with decreased oxygen in their brains—and engage them physically and creatively with what they are learning. By getting students out of stationary chairs, we help them make stronger connections to academic subjects and keep them working on their goal of one hour of activity each day!
