We work hard at reading every day. I want my students to be able to hear themselves read aloud. Reading aloud helps them correct their mistakes.
My students are struggling readers.
My students do not have economic means in which to get all of their needs met. This does not stop them from doing their best every day. My kids are great and I would like to be able to provide them with everything that I can for them to be successful.
My Project
My students will be able to use the Whisper phones during independent reading time, and at home to hear themselves read out loud. The whisper phones will be able to help my students hear where they are making mistakes in their reading. Reading out load helps them become better readers. Using whisper phones allows many students to read out loud without disturbing the other students in the room.
My students will use these whisper phones to improve their reading ability.
Reading out loud is a fun way to practice reading. In order to be proficient readers they need to read on level, these phones will help them get there.
