Help Us, We Need Ink!

My students need ink for our classroom printer so that I can provide printouts for them to help them with their work.

My Students

I am an English Language Arts teacher and I love what I do! We already have a classroom printer but we have run out of ink. Please help me provide my students with interesting supporting readings and worksheets to help them improve their writing.

My goal is to create an environment where all students can feel safe and strive!

Our school is a Title I school, identified as a School in Need of Improvement (SINI), with approximately 85% of our students eligible for free lunch. In addition, our students come from a variety of diverse backgrounds. Our school has almost 2,000 students with an average of over 600 students per grade. Hard to believe, right? In a school of this size it's hard to find an available printer or copy machine. We need ink for our classroom printer in order to be successful!

My Project

If this project is funded I will be allowed to print documents that I desperately need for my students. Some of my students are visual learners and the best way they learn is by having information right in front of them. The ink needed for our printer would allow me to provide all of my students with documents that can support what we do in class. Additionally, many of my students do not have printers of their own at home. Having the ink replaced in the printer in my classroom would allow them to use their computers at home to complete an assignment and then allow them to print it out in school. This would be beneficial for students in all of their subject areas, not just mine. A workable printer with a large supply of ink will be an invaluable resource for many years to come in my classroom.

By having a workable printer in my classroom, students will learn better by having supporting materials readily available provided to them, their grades will improve and they will now have a place to print their typed assignments instead of scrambling to find a place to print.
