My Students

My students have been using small handled scissors to cut large quantities of paper to assemble art projects, science presentation boards, and math activities. Those little scissors give your hands cramps after a few minutes! Help our hands be cramp-free!

I have 30 5th grade students at a Title I school.

Half of them receive free or reduced lunch prices and many of them are from underprivileged homes. They love creating academic projects using paper collages, but they are tired of using our small scissors.

My Project

This paper trimmer will help my students express themselves artistically and will help them create high quality classroom presentations. We will be using it frequently to cut strips of paper to assemble to larger pieces of paper. We will also create fraction strips to help my students visually see which fractions are larger than others.

Please help us save time when cutting large quantities of paper to assemble projects!

Our fingers can't withstand using our little scissors much longer! We are very excited to use a pain-free way of cutting paper!
