Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work at a a Title I school, in which 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many of the families do not have the resources available to them to buy things that are not absolutely necessary. My students really value all the help, support, and resources that come from our school. This makes our school feel like the student's second family and our classroom feel like home.

These resources will be used to help content come to life and get students excited to learn.

Third grade is a crucial year for students. This is first year they take a statewide assessment and that score defines if they go to 4th or get retained. Many students feel that extra pressure.

We will be transforming the classrooms and the hallway for all 3rd graders to be excited to learn. This will help to easer their restlessness and be happy to show all that they have learned. Thank you for helping to make this a reality!
