My Project
I currently teach a class of 24 fantastic first graders. Headphones are a vital instrument in our classroom. Students take various tests throughout the year which require them to listen and respond to a text or problem. Without headphones for each student the testing environment can quickly become loud and chaotic. Not only are headphones needed during testing but for daily instruction as well. In order to meet the needs of all students while keeping up with pacing expectations I must try my best to be in multiple places at once. This often requires me to assign meaningful independent activities such as students recording themselves reading a story, self checking sight words, listening to a story or recording stories to be played back and written. Help me to maximize instruction and minimize distractions with headphones.
