Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is right in the middle of a wonderful Agricultural community, so our students see agriculture every day. We work hard in our school garden to ensure that the crops we plant will be successful at growing into healthy, bountiful crops.

Our students come from hard working families, so they too are very hard-working.

They want our garden to be beautiful and successful so they work hard at planting, weeding, watering, fertilizing and harvesting. We love our school garden!

My Project

Having a soil cultivator will help us with working the soil of our school garden. We live in a desert region and our soil is quite hard and dry. We have to add material to supplement the soil so that it will grow our vegetables more easily. Our students work hard at breaking up the dirt clods using shovels, but a cultivator would help to make this task much easier and faster.

We take great pride in our school garden and our students would greatly appreciate your support in helping us to achieve the goal of attaining a cultivator for our garden!

The tiller will be mostly used by the Agricultural Science teacher and college students that help us with our garden. Students will use the garden tools to prepare the soil for planting and having the tools will make their task much easier.
