My school is a Title 1 school. Most of my students are ELL students that come to me as non-English speakers. These children are precious and I love teaching them. They are very eager to learn and LOVE coming to school. I want to be able to provide them with the best learning environment possible.
When students start out at a low level and are slow improving, they never really catch up, thus a very high percentage of high school drop outs.
My goal is to provide them with a very strong foundation where they feel very successful and establish and early love of learning that will continue throughout their education.
My Project
This awesome oval animal rug comes ALIVE with a free app downloaded from our iPad! We desperately need a rug for our learning circle and I love that this is a learning tool as well! As the student sits on a picture of an animal, they can also learn about it by pointing the iPad to the app. The app will make the animal come alive and tell us all about where it lives and its habitat!
With this great learning tool, we will be able to expand knowledge in Science by learning about animals and in Social Studies by learning about different areas of the world!
What an incredible experience, all while giving us a large oval rug to sit on!
