My Project
My student have become so passionate, even teary eyed when I teach them about the concerns for the rainforest. They beg me to teach them how to preserve our precious planet. I challenge them to come up with logical yet attainable ideas to do this in our little classroom. Whiteboard contact paper was their greatest idea thus far.
My student's argument is that we will save paper, practice techniques to preserve our planet and save trees.
Reducing the use of cutting down trees for paper will protect animals habitat, the food that they rely on to survive and the beauty of the rainforest.
The class wrote letters to a group of people who work to protect endangered animals. After our first few drafts they felt bad that they wasted paper. However, with whiteboard contact paper on our desks we wouldn't have this concern.
