This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are great people! They collectively try to do their best as a group. We are an ICT class with 15 special education students and 15 general education students. We would benefit from a better classroom library. My students are motivated and love to read, but lack the resources to get good books that interest them. We would also benefit from classroom supplies such as glue sticks, pencils, folders, and laminating pouches. We love to do creative projects, but lack basic supplies.
My Project
We are in desperate need of basic classroom supplies to help us do our best! We try to do as many creative projects as we can, but we are lacking the basics, like markers and glue. We also would like to read more, especially magazines. We love reading and would benefit from interesting grade appropriate material. I am trying to engage the students in a literacy center where they are using magazines to generate new ideas. I have been using old Highlights Magazines, but would like the students to have current material. These are wonderful children who just need some help to succeed in the classroom. Thank you for your help!
