My Students

There is much diversity in our school, and getting along with others isn't always easy.

My students face challenges everyday that most of us couldn't imagine possible.

They come from homes where they lack positive role models, or no role models at all, and then come to school without the skills necessary to get along with their classmates and teachers.

My Project

I would like to have a class set of the book Bullying in Schools, so we can set up a support group for students who need extra encouragement in ways to be positive, as well as some fun gel pens and the scented pencils to give away to students who are doing a good job in the classroom.

Helping students grow in maturity and self control needs to start with baby steps, but the most important part to this experience is having positive role models to work with and emulate.

Please help us to set up an encouraging environment where students feel safe to get along.
