This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My bilingual kindergarten students are creative, inquisitive, and love to learn! My students live in an urban, low income area. Their families are doing everything they can to provide their children with the necessities of life during these difficult times, to which we can all relate. We have transitioned from remote learning to in-person learning, and my students come to school ready to learn. Providing my students with appropriate materials is key for their academic success.
My Project
Our school is a very old building with an old heating system which makes the temperature in our classroom vary from day to day in winter. Many of my students do not have sweaters appropriate for school, and need warm comfortable sweaters to wear over their school uniform t-shirts.
Please help me provide my students with sweaters so they can concentrate on their work instead of feeling cold!
Being cold should not be the reason preventing my students' academic success. On behalf of my students, thank you in advance for your generosity.
