I teach at a magnet school focusing on the sciences as well as the arts. The students here are very interested in science and love to ask questions and design experiments to gather deeper understanding. Many of my students come from underprivileged homes because our school is a Title I School. They are very interested in gardening, engineering and design, and keeping the school environmentally friendly.
Combining our school's theme of art and sciences with projects that focus on engineering and design, is crucial for the vision and mission of our school.
My Project
If my students are putting themselves at risk by coming to school each day, I would like to provide them with a few things to help make their educational day a little safer.
Touchless hand sanitizer dispenser and soap dispensers as well as an air purifier will help make each day just a tiny bit safer.
I have also requested some face mask lanyards that will help prevent them from throwing them away on their tray at lunch and getting it all dirty outside during mask breaks. I will keep the lanyards at school and wash them often so that they will stay around for a while.
This is such a difficult time to be a school aged child. Thanks for any help to make it just a bit easier.
