Help Us Stay Dry

Help me give my students a drying rack for all their beautiful art pieces. So far this year we have been using the floor to allow the paint projects to dry.

My Students

I work with some of the most amazing kids, and it is finally time to give them something that they have been asking for: an art program. For such a small school and tight-knit family oriented community, being able to give them such a fantastic gift is an honor.

This class will not only be an art class, but it will also provide a way to help my students express their emotions and creativity in ways that have not been able to so far.

These beautiful students come to school not just to learn but to be loved, to eat, and to socialize. It is time to give them another reason to make it to school.

My Project

In art, we do a lot of wet things such as painting. So far this year, we have done two big painting projects, and we have used the floor and any available table space in order to dry our artwork. After experiencing this twice, we decided as a campus that we really need a drying rack. This drying rack will show the kids that their artwork is important and valuable.

My students are also very close to the custodial staff, and they do not like inconveniencing them by leaving their things all over the floor.

We have had students ask permission from the custodial staff to have their artwork drying on the floor before they even feel comfortable with the idea. I want to thank them for their consideration.
