This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a Dyslexia and Special Education teacher in a Title I district in South Texas. The students I teach come from diverse backgrounds socioeconomically and culturally. I love teaching my students, however, we are in need of some cleaning materials to prepare for Spring but mostly to endure this winter.

I am requesting cleaning supplies to keep our common areas and supplies clean during the upcoming cold and flu season.

Students are getting sick lately and we are in need of disinfecting materials. I am also asking for masks to have available for students when they need them. We share our learning space and we need to maintain it so we do not share germs, only share learning experiences. I want to keep our learning area warm, cozy and clean so they can look forward to coming to my room. I am asking for a rolling cart as well to store these materials and have it available and mobile for when I have to roll into another classroom to pull my small groups.
