I am a second grade teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district. My students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. I am in an early childhood center that ranges from PreK-2nd grade. I try very hard to make learning the best time of my students day. I want them to yearn to learn and leave me being lifelong learners. I value each and everyone of my students very much. I work so hard to find out what helps them to soar and thrive each and every day. I want to make each lesson fun, motivating, and exciting. When they leave me at the end of the day the best thing to see is their bright smiles.
My Project
All of my students love to see things in color. My classroom is bright and colorful and cheery even on the gloomiest of days. As a teacher I have learned that colors play a key role in creating a classroom environment that fosters learning. As a teacher when you use the right color, it can seriously affect feelings, attention, and behavior when learning. I will use this printer to print visual aides, pictures for our work board, manipulatives, open number lines,100 charts, etc. This printer will foster my students learning incredibly.
