Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach two sections of the fifth grade at a Title 1 school in a high needs neighborhood.
My students don't have basic school supplies many times. My school doesn't have any money in the budget this year for supplies. There are things, like a pencil sharpener and pencils, that my students don't have.
I like to provide my students with motivational things like pencils, notebooks, and stickers. These resources are both practical and motivational. They will benefit my students by staying motivated to learn and also providing them resources they need to use daily.
My students are so eager to learn. I really think it's important to keep these students engaged and motivated. They cannot write when they don't have pencils or a pencil sharpener. These are supplies that we take for granted until we don't have them anymore. Please help my everyday classroom run more efficiently so that I can spend my time educating my students.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
