Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are passionate, creative, and determined young chefs who are eager to take their culinary skills to the next level. They come from diverse backgrounds, each bringing their unique perspectives and flavors to the kitchen. Many of them dream of pursuing careers in the Culinary Industry and are excited about opportunities to showcase their talents in competitions.
However, many of my students face financial challenges that limit their ability to access professional uniforms.
Providing them with proper chef coats, aprons and chef hats will not only give them the confidence to compete but also teach them the importance of professionalism, teamwork and presentation.
My students are competing in February at the Taste of Education and the Youth Fair in March. These resources will help my students feel like real culinary professionals, giving them the pride and confidence to perform their best.
