My students need 5 tablets to help them, when in small groups, explore different places in the world and create fantastic projects with the information and knowledge gained from such explorations.
Imagine that classroom where the students want to be there. They want to expand their minds and learn something new each day.
My students live in various urban settings throughout the City of Philadelphia where they come to school and receive breakfast and lunch daily.
My school is also a Title I school, where we strive to provide our students with as many services as possible.
Some days are tougher than others for my students, but I provide a safe, respectful and stable environment for them to learn. They look forward to coming to school to see "what fun things" we are going to learn. They are a great bunch of kids.
My Project
My students need five tablets for when they are working in small groups. They will use them for social studies and science. They will use the tablets when given the task of exploring different parts of the United States to start and then continue their explorations to other countries in the world. In Science, they will expand their knowledge to going beyond our world and explore the planets in our solar system. Projects and presentations will be created using the information and knowledge gathered.
Your kind donations will help bring the world to our classroom.
It will also help my students realize that there is more to the world than just their community. It would also give them the incentive to want to go see these sights for themselves when they grow up.
