Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a first-year teacher at a Title I school, I want to create a classroom filled with color, where they can learn, explore, and grow despite the challenges they may face outside of school. I have seen in my student teaching placement how students love and enjoy when they have resources in color and not just black and white. Unfortunately, our school does not have access to a color printer.
If I want to provide my students with color materials like a schedule, visuals, anchor charts, or learning games, I have to print them at home or pay out of pocket at a store, something that adds up quickly.
This color printer would make a huge difference in our classroom. It would allow me to create vibrant, easy-to-understand visual aids, display a colorful and consistent daily schedule, and provide engaging learning materials that support all types of learners, especially my English language learners and students with special needs. With your support, we can make our learning environment more inclusive, supportive, and fun!
