This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our class has students from many different ethnicities. I would love to provide a dramatic play dollhouse with families that represent the families my student come from. Representation is so important as children learn who they are and where they come from. This dollhouse and furniture and families will help us grow.
Being able to use dramatic play materials with families that look like ours will mean so much for us!
Dramatic play helps us learn and develop interpersonal skills as we play together. We explore our own families while we play in dramatic play areas. This dollhouse is designed to have four areas for children to play together and negotiate and compromise together as they play.
