My students need 11 food storage lids, cleaning supplies, paper towels and 12 vases of water to serve with our meals (instead of them drinking SODA!)

My Students
Help! We are in desperate need of supplies to keep our culinary program running! Our budget has been completely cut and our program needs to continue running for the numerous kids that look forward and depend on it everyday.
I am a high school culinary arts teacher in the Bronx.
This is my fifth year teaching and I absolutely love it. I was once a chef in a kitchen but truly enjoy teaching and preparing high school students for the work force. Our budget has been totally cut down to zero this year, forcing met to get very creative and find different ways to keep it afloat. We do numerous extra curricular activities and programs, that are work study based, which require cleaning and paper goods. My students love this program. Many of them truly get to know themselves better and some find a possible career path after graduation.
My Project
My students need food storage containers, paper goods and cleaning products to keep our culinary program running. I truly never thought I would be at a point where foam plates and forks would become a necessity and desperate need in my classroom. We have no funding for this program and it has become my responsibility to keep this going for the students who love to come to school and learn all the basic fundamentals of cooking everyday. Please help us keep our culinary arts program afloat.
This project is so important because so many of my kids have no idea how badly our budget has been impacted.
This program gives them an outlet during the day and a hope for their future careers, as many of them choose to continue cooking after high school. Working in such a tough area, this program is the key to getting many of my kids to come to school. Thank you for your help with my project. We appreciate all your support.
