My Students
I teach at a wonderful middle school that has been recognized five times as a "school to watch." This is very remarkable since we live in a high-poverty area, and many of our students have difficulty finding support for musical enrichment outside of our classroom.
My students thrive in a student-centered learning environment where they can discover and learn by using our classroom tools and technology.
We have very little room in our classroom budget for anything but basic music needs and instrument repairs.
My Project
We are making great music in our music ensembles. Recently we added several modern band ensemble activities to our music class offerings. We have so many new rockers that we need this requested Champion Guitar Amp and cable to accommodate them.
We need this new amp to bring our music to others.
We also use our amps in our jazz bands, concert bands, choral ensembles, and for our student show cases like our annual talent show. Without an amp, our sound is just not the same! By providing musical opportunities both in school and after school, we are encouraging our students to participate in meaningful and positive experiences.
