This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We’re an autism-focused Special Day Class serving 1st–3rd graders, and this is the first time this year our students have a permanent teacher. We’re working hard to create a calm, welcoming space that supports their learning and emotional well-being—but our supply budget has run out.

The items we've included will directly support our students’ ability to self-regulate, refocus, and return to learning.

Sensory tools help manage overstimulation, books tailored to their interests encourage engagement with literacy, and calming items provide comfort during difficult moments.

With your help, we can create the safe, supportive learning environment these amazing kids truly deserve.
