Help me give my students lost and damaged library books! Many of our students' favorite books have been lost or damaged beyond our ability to repair them over this school year.

My Project
Our students are curious, thoughtful, and eager to explore the world through reading. Many of them come from low-income households and rely heavily on our school library to access books they wouldn’t otherwise have. For many of our students, the library is more than just a room with books—it’s a safe, inspiring space where they can learn, dream, and discover.
Over time, and especially during recent years, our library has lost many books due to damage, loss, and normal wear and tear.
Some were never returned after hurricane and cold weather shutdowns, and others have simply been loved so much they’re falling apart. This has left large gaps in our collection—including in popular series, diverse literature, and nonfiction books students need for research.
This project will help us replace dozens of important titles that our students ask for every day—books that spark their imagination, challenge their thinking, and support their academic growth. With your help, we can restore our shelves and ensure every student has access to the stories and information they deserve.
When students don’t see the books they love or need on the shelves, they lose interest. But when they find stories that speak to them, they light up with excitement. By helping us rebuild our collection, you’re helping to nurture a love of reading, support academic achievement, and give every child the chance to learn and grow their reading ability.
Replacing these books will do more than restock our shelves. It will clear student fines associated with the lost or damaged items, giving many of our kids a clean slate and the chance to borrow books again. This means more students reading, researching, and discovering every day.
Thank you for considering our project. Your support makes a lasting difference!
