My students need grade level texts for guided reading and small group.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My fourth grade students are very loving, caring, and curious. They love being engaged in the classroom and truly appreciate all things donated to the classroom. In addition, these curious fourth graders love learning! My students come from very low socioeconomic backgrounds and do not always have the access to technology.
Our school is 100% free breakfast and lunch.
We have the highest rate of ELL (English language learners) in the state and a high number of special education students.
My Project
The students need some new guided reading/small group books to help support and encourage their learning on many different levels. The books are a wide range of reading levels which will help reach all students in the classroom. These texts are a mixture of fiction and nonfiction and even incorporate some math and history. The students will be challenged and engaged with these texts and reading comprehension questions that go along with them. I am excited to see what the students think of these books and how they foster great conversations and discussions among the guided reading groups in the classroom.
