Help me give my students the tools to interpret blueprint drawings( Architects Scale). Our students engage in reading drawings almost on a daily basis. Blueprint reading is a necessary skill in many of the building and construction trades.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our Construction Students are introduced to how to read Blueprints to construct their semester projects. It’s exciting to see students comprehend the concepts of scaling, ratios, proportions, measurements, geometry, fractions and every day practical mathematics. Having a personal architects scale will empower the student to interpret a construction drawing.
During the course of the year each student is given a shed model to build complete with materials and plans.It is very non productive for students to be sharing an architect’s scale.
We lack the proper amount of scales in the classroom.
