My Project

As a teacher, I pride myself on choosing books that I know will engage my students. When I first read Agatha Christie's, And Then There Were None, I was captivated by the mystery, and it made me want to keep reading. I want that same experience for my scholars.

I love that my scholars discuss books like people discuss who is performing on Superbowl Sunday.

My goal for this project is for my scholars to be able to learn the different ELA skills like central idea and theme, while being able to analyze and make inferences using the clues in the book.

I know that this will make a difference in my scholars' learning by allowing them to enjoy reading, and maybe I will get scholars who will find that their new favorite genre is mystery. The other books that I have added to this project are for our classroom library. I always promote the idea that my scholars should enjoy what they read independently.

Thus, this project will help to promote reading in my classroom and make students excited about ELA.
