My students need a classroom set of the novel "Bud, Not Buddy" for a comprehensive upcoming unit.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Bowman's classroom raised $297
This project is fully funded
My Students
My students are hungry for higher level thinking and learning experiences. After finishing a unit on Mythology using the book, The Lightening Thief, they will be eager to dive into their next novel.
My students consist of 110 6th graders who come to me for English Language Arts.
They are incredibly smart and crave challenging units that inspire not only their academic thinking, but the connection that is made through books. We are in a school district that does not provide funding for new classroom books at this time. My school is strong and supportive and does everything within its means to provide for the students, however, this isn't something that can be funded through the school at this time.
My Project
My students will be reading this novel while diving into different reading and language arts skills. The novel will serve as a guiding device that will be the basis for projects and exploration. It will set the tone for bigger guiding questions like "what are important life lessons" and "how do they guide us through our lives".
Inspiring young readers while teaching essential life skills will benefit these kids this year and in the years to come.
Students will learn the required higher level thinking skills needed to be successful in life, however, they will do it in a way that captivates their minds.
