Help me give my students a mirror to practice their articulation goals, a magnetic easel to utilize alphabet manipulative to work on phonemic awareness, and quiet chair socks to minimize noise and distraction in the speech room.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students come to speech with a smile on their faces every day and even stop me in the hall begging me to take them ‘just one more time today!’ They work so hard to reach their fullest potential, but our speech room is still lacking a few necessities that our Title I district cannot provide. Simple tools like a mirror to practice articulation goals, a magnetic easel to work on phonemic awareness, and quiet chair socks to minimize noise and distraction in the speech room would really go a long way to help reach their speech goals.
