We are an inner-city school where many students feel disconnected from the sky due to living in the city. They often think the wonders of space and astronomy are out of reach. I’m requesting a solar telescope to allow them to safely observe the sun, helping them connect with the natural world in a way they never have before. This telescope will deepen their understanding of astronomy, while also developing their critical thinking and problem-solving skills as they observe scientific phenomena firsthand.
Students living in cities often think there isn't anything worth looking at - let's prove them wrong!
My goal is to inspire a love of science in my students, showing them that the sky is within their reach. What makes my students special is their diverse backgrounds and shared excitement for learning. They bring unique perspectives to every lesson and are eager to explore new concepts. With this telescope, they’ll have the chance to explore the wonders of our universe and spark their curiosity.
