My Project

We are a Title 1 school without a dedicated performance stage or lighting equipment, implementing pipe and drape systems is crucial for our musical theatre program as it not only facilitates the creation of versatile backdrops but also provides a means to conceal our limited resources backstage, thus fostering a more immersive and professional learning environment for our students. By building a strong musical theatre program, we empower our students with opportunities for creative expression, teamwork, and self-confidence, while also cultivating essential skills in communication, collaboration, and problem-solving. Performing shows like "Once On This Island Jr." not only exposes our underserved community to the arts but also serves as a platform for cultural representation, empathy, and social awareness, thereby enriching their educational experience and fostering a sense of belonging and pride in their heritage.
