Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach an amazing group of 3rd grade students at a Title 1 school in Los Angeles. Our school is located in a low income community, but these children are full of hope, heart, and motivation.

My students are kind, hard working, creative, and full of enthusiasm, and a love of learning!

When we began this experience students received a district provided Chromebook to use at home. I want to be able to give them a great virtual classroom experience! This has not been easy using an old computer to teach the latest online apps and resources.

My Project

Zoom classes have been a way for us to not only continue our educational journey, but stay active in each others lives. Using outdated, and slow technology has made this somewhat difficult.

I want to make Zoom classes vibrant and exciting!

A Dell Inspiron Laptop with Touch-Screen will help make this a reality by allowing us to use the latest online resources and apps to make lessons interactive, and engaging. In addition, a new laptop will be an incredible tool to help me bring the world to my students, through virtual field trips, and guest speakers.
