My students are beginning to learn about the power language holds.
My ESOL students come from a variety of backgrounds.
They are learning English as a second (or third) language. The majority of them qualify for free/reduced lunch. For them school is a warm, welcoming, and safe place. My school works hard to maintain this atmosphere despite years of budget cuts.
My Project
With these materials my students will gain valuable practice building words and sentences. Many of my ESOL students are tactile learners. The magnetic letters, words, and phonics center will give them valuable hands on practice with making new words and constructing sentences. They will use the pens and erasers to continue practice writing down their ideas. The stickers will help me recognize outstanding work.
Donations to this project will allow me to continue to provide my students with engaging activities as they are learning how to write.
These hands on materials will keep my students engaged as they practice critical skills that will help make them better writers.
