Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My fifth-grade students are full of energy and love to be active. They especially enjoy physical education where they can compete, play, and build friendships. However, our current game and exercise equipment is limited and worn out. With your help, we can refresh our PE supplies and give students the chance to participate in fun, safe, and meaningful activities every week.

We’re asking for clean, durable items like a softball, bases, and a baseball tee to help us learn the basics of baseball—how to hit, run, catch, and play as a team.

We’d also love to have cones and a flag football set so we can play capture the flag and football, two games that challenge us to think strategically and cooperate. These games promote fitness, focus, and fun, and they give students the opportunity to work together and grow in confidence.

More than anything, I want to help my students learn how to be good teammates and practice great sportsmanship. Whether they’re winning or losing, I want them to support each other, celebrate each other’s efforts, and build a strong classroom community. These games are a perfect way to reinforce those life skills. Your donation will help us create a more active, inclusive, and encouraging PE experience for every child.
