Help Us Peruse the News!

Help me give my students Scholastic News Magazines to practice our reading skills and stay informed on current events. Folders to keep magazine and writing assignments organized, and stools to sit and fit around our reading table.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

All of my students come from low income homes. My students come from Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and other Spanish speaking countries. 100% of my students are provided with free lunches. The majority of their educational supplies and services are mostly provided through school. Despite all of their challenges, my students are extremely hard working and very appreciative.

My students would be over the moon with excitement if they would receive Scholastic News, folders, and stools so they fit around our table.

My Project

Scholastic News will help my students practice reading, speaking, and writing skills while learning current events and expressing their opinions. They will learn to read text, maps, and graphs all the things that bring the outside world into our classroom.

A set of classroom stools will help seat our students up close around our reading table so to assist with directions and focus.

My students will keep their Scholastic News Magazines and writing assignments organized and neat in new folders. Scholastic Magazines, stools and folders would make a huge difference especially because of their poverty they don't know much outside their neighborhood.
