This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students love painting. I only see my classes once a week and when I get to paint with them it is really special.
My school has major budget issues, we are understaffed, classes are filled to the max and supplies are not provided. My students unfortunately come from families that are struggling
My students are bright, enthusiastic and inspired.
They just need the proper paints to use, and I know there will be creative risk-taking, problem-solving and imagination application galore! The look of satisfaction and wonder on their faces when they get to use paint is simply priceless.
My Project
My students are having their second annual art show this year. My middle school art students look forward to learning how to paint with acrylics and getting to use canvas panels. Their work always comes out professional looking and they gain a sense of pride and accomplishment. We would also greatly benefit from some watercolor paper and some new brushes.
Please help my students have the irreplaceable experience of painting in their art class.
I know how disappointing it can be to come to an art classroom that lacks the proper supplies. I want to keep my students' enthusiasm high and creativity going all year long.
