My students need a new book shelf to organize and display books to help keep their interest in reading new and exciting books everyday!
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. JABLOW's classroom raised $453
This project is fully funded
My Students
Do you remember what it was like the first time you read a book that you couldn't put down? My third and fourth grade special needs students have that thirst for reading, however our classroom library lacks the space to organize and categorize our books.
My six third and fourth grade students are all classified as having an autism spectrum disorder and attend a specialized school in New York.
The student's reading levels and interest vary greatly, requiring me to have a wide assortment of literature available to them. All of my students love to sit and read to learn something new. They all have a thirst for knowledge, however our library is lacking room and organization for our many books we acquire.
My Project
By incorporating a new book shelf and organization system, we will be able to sort our books into various categories and levels. Students will be able to find a book on a specific topic or level that they will be able to read. Students will become more independent and take part in finding books that interest them. Most importantly, we will be able to have a home for our books.
This project will be a wonderful addition to our classroom and our classroom library.
By expanding our classroom library, we are expanding our thirst for knowledge and learning. We will be able to dive into great pieces of literature!
