Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The TK students at this school are curious and engaged learners that have a drive to constantly practice the skills they are learning every day. Multi-sensory tools can make a huge difference in students engagement, understanding and retention in mathematics instruction.

The hands-on learning opportunities we provide at this stage will ensure the students have the chance to explore and practice the necessary geometry skills needed to master the basics now, and it will also set them up for success in the next stages and grades too.

Students will use the sensory snakes to compose and decompose two dimensional geometric shapes and then they will use the LED pads to draw the shapes, compose new shapes from existing shapes and to create familiar images from these shapes. These explorations will help students develop their logical thinking, deductive and analytical reasoning skills, and problem-solving skills.
