This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My student's are creative, fun, intelligent, and curious second and third graders. Usually my students are in the classroom with me two days a week and then continue their learning at home the other three days of the week. I love guiding my students through their learning every day. It is amazing to see the joy on their face when they learn something exciting and new.
My Project
These materials will make a tremendous difference in my students' learning from home this year!! We have a fabulous math curriculum for my students' home study days that we usually supplement with hands on math activities in the classroom each week. I want my students to have the same amazing and fun learning opportunities working at home! These storage bins and bags will allow me to organize the individual sets of Cuisenaire Rods, clocks, dice, cards, base ten blocks, pattern blocks and play money.
I can't wait to see my students' faces when I tell them that they get their very own set of brand new math manipulatives to use and keep this year!!
