This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am so fortunate to be teaching 28 very unique and highly motivated resource students at an elementary language academy in the East Bay Area. My students vary in abilities and grade levels and our resource room was moved to a completely empty classroom in the beginning of the 2019 school year. In order to create a beautiful, consistent and inviting atmosphere for our students, the need for a die cut machine is vital. Engaging bulletin boards, anchor charts, as well as classroom signs will be uniform and easily read so that all students can clearly access the information they need to know on a daily basis. We are a school with limited resources, but a lot of heart and our students deserve so much more than our minimal budgets can provide. I can assure you that your donation to our classroom will make our students feel that their classroom is a place they look forward to being every day.

I so appreciate that through your generosity I may improve my classroom environment and ultimately be the best teacher I can be for my special students.

My Project

The die cut machine will be used to create an engaging classroom atmosphere. Clear cut, uniform letters and designs will help our students focus on the information written in the context of charts, bulletin boards and school environment posters. We believe a beautiful classroom is both motivating and vital to our students self worth and special needs.

In addition to this, our students will be able to manipulate and utilize cut out letters and designs to create sentences and learn basic words.

I can already imagine the learning and creativity they will experience using this product. Our students have varied goals and needs in their IEP goals and all of them have language goals which include learning their letters and basic sounds, as well as writing and vocabulary.
