My Students
My students have multiple disabilities, but they don’t let that hold them back! We use a variety of materials in order to facilitate their learning. A blending of physical and digital activities keeps them engaged, as well as engages other students who are not directly involved in the activities. Many students have speech, OT, and PT services. It is our goal this year to show the amazing things that we can accomplish, and that we can do anything that our general education peers can do!
My Project
These materials will help meet the students' sensory needs, which will provide them with a calm learning environment in order for them to succeed. My students have sensory processing issues, which need to be met in order for them to accomplish tasks. We work in conjunction with the Occupational and Physical Therapists in order to meet the needs of all students and provide them with the maximum opportunity for success.
These materials are integral to the success and calmness of our students.
We will have a specific area of the class dedicated to the sensory needs of the students, as well as use the materials during lessons to ensure the students needs are being met.
