Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are students in NY. We would love to add an area rug to our library where students can sit together and read. During the COVID pandemic all of our rugs were taken away because of social distancing. We are hoping to go back to normal, and enjoy partner reading again. We love reading all types of books with our friends. Our classroom library is our favorite place in the classroom; please help us create a welcoming, comfortable and safe environment for us. Thank you for helping us!
One rug is for our morning meeting area which goes in front of the board.
The other rug will go in our classroom library. Both of our rugs were taken away because of social distancing. We were only allowed to sit at our desk during the pandemic for the entire day. We are hoping to be able to transition during reading time back to library area and the morning meeting area. Thank you.
