This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My community is one that supports, protects, and encourages one another through the successful and tough times. You can catch my students coming alongside one another and helping their classmates reach their academic, emotional, and personal goals! Our school is Title I with 100% free and reduced lunch, and our students frequently express their love for learning and the love they have for our school community! My students look forward to their futures and know they are bright!

My Project

Coming out of the pandemic, we have a huge learning gap to close. In order to best service the students and meet them where they are at, I need to pull groups of 2-3 students to work with me on skills that are missing.

This leaves the rest of the students to work independently.

These resources will help keep my students engaged while practicing their 2nd grade critical standards as I work to meet struggling student's needs.

Right now, we have a few math games similar to the ones listed below, and my students LOVE them! I know that these math games will not only help student's practice second grade material, but it will also give me an opportunity to help other students catch up to grade level through small group instruction.
