This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
How will my students use these wonderful resources, you ask? Well, my students will be using the listening center as an independent literacy center. Each of my students is at a different reading level, not all students can sit with a book and gain an understanding of the story from the pictures or words. By listening to the words and following the words of the story in the book provided, student engagement will increase and so will their ability to understand the story. After listening to the story, students will be required to reflect on what they heard and review story elements, the characters, setting, problem, and solution in many different books!
All students deserve to have quality experiences in books and in school so that their learning will be more enjoyable, give them purpose in their reading, and motivate them to work hard to become better readers for life!
