See what Ms. D. is requestingMy students need iPads because much of the learning that we do is interactive. We use iPads to do literacy, math, science, and social studies lessons. We also use iPads to reward good behavior.

My students are a widely diverse group. I teach a special needs class, so we have a range of disabilities, personalities, and ability levels.
The one thing we all have in common is the fact that we love each other, and we love to learn.
We are indeed a team. We help each other and cheer each other on.
Learning is our number one priority. It may take my students a little longer to grasp a concept, but when they do, it is a joyous occasion.
Much of the learning that takes place in a special needs classroom is done through technology. We can use these iPads to help us answer questions that we cannot verbally answer. We can also use these iPads to help us problem solve and work through social issues.
We may not be able to answer questions, but we can use devices to help convey our answers.
Many of my nonverbal students depend on iPads to help them communicate with others. This project will provide enough iPads in my classroom for all students to have their own iPad to use each day.
