Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Learning the letters and sounds is tough for students that don't speak English!
My students are largely ELL students who don't speak English.
They live in an inner city area and are almost all eligible to receive free and/or reduced lunch. Ell students need visuals to help them learn as they don't have all the vocabulary that English speakings students usually do when they come into school.
My Project
I am requesting a set of alphabet sounds teaching tubs and stand to help build my students vocabulary, letter, and sounds knowledge through the use of visual aids. By having items for the student to touch and see we will be able to connect vocabulary with letters and sounds.
Your donation would help my students get a better grasp of the English language through visual aids.
One of the best ways to teach ELL students is through lots and lots of visuals. Please consider helping our class.
