This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Hello wonderful donors! I teach in a kindergarten classroom that is high poverty in Northern California. We do not have an active PTA at our school at this time so therefore we do not have any funds to support extra supplies in our classrooms. Due to the budget cuts in California at this time we do not have any extra money for supplies. Or school is filled with amazing children who are in high need of extra supplies that their teacher cannot buy (she cannot buy everything although she wishes she could). I teach an amazing bunch of kindergartners that are eager to learn and have such an expansive minds!
We are in need of geography supplies to supplement our social studies curriculum.
I want my students to see a globe and touch a huge interactive map. My love of traveling the world will be brought to them. My class is also HUGE in diversity as my students come from all over the world. How great will it be when they can see where they are from or came from? Or even better name the continents in kindergarten!!! With your help I will be able to bring to my students a rich experience in geography.
My Project
When students are presented with a hands on experience in geography I will be giving my students a rich experience in geography. While learning about their cultures they will learn about others all over the world. This interactive map with help children see the different countries that inhabit the earth, the oceans that surround us, and the beauty that geography brings.
You can make this difference.
Even if it is 10 dollars, your priceless donation will go a long long way and affect students lives for years to come. Think; a kindergartner will know where Europe and Africa is before a 4th grader! I thank you as a teacher, but I am but a muse and my students are the real angels that will value your generosity for years.
With peace and love for learning,
Nearly all students from low‑income households
